Until the Quiet Comes
Flying Lotus has revealed the full details of his new album Until the Quiet Comes. As previously reported, the album is out October 2 via Warp in the U.S. (October 1 in the UK) and features a guest spots from Thom Yorke. In addition to Yorke (who sings on a track called “Electric Candyman”), Erykah Badu also appears on the album, as do Thundercat, Niki Randa, and Laura Darlington.

I didn’t really like this song when Blu dropped it in the first half of 2010, because I generally don’t enjoy rappers going in over previously released instrumentals. But earlier today when Noz answered a question about Blu and Flying Lotus he linked this video up. The video is real cool and on second listens Blu goes the fuck in with his Crac Knuck style. BONG
COSMOGRAMMA ALL DAY
When the video started I was wondering what the hell this had to do with Cosmogramma, than Zodiac Shit hit and I smiled. I really dig the interpretation of skating as a spiritual experience with Lotus’ song making that point more visceral. Yet, it’s a bit pastoral and vintage-y to the point I want to chuckle at it. Black Boys on boards promoting vans and supreeme gear to FL is well, IDK… with all that drag it’s still the best visuals made to anything off Cosmogramma. Thumb up essé
