Rap Thoughts (#hate ed.)
Thug Waffle song, please go away. ‘93 Wu/NY era fang fronts and a nigga lookin’ like a glammed out version of Melle Mel circa ‘84 does not make for a good song or video. Spaceghostpurp (or how ever the fuck he spell that shit) did a beat gen type beat that was cool, but miles better than this horrible shit that headz seem to love. Drake-Common beef/battle is strange, hilarious and ass juice. Both got in good lines in each other, but over all I rather take some Nyquil when I’m not sick… and this is coming from a dude who use to have Com in his top 5 CIRCA 95-04… yes Electric Circus is better than all the shitty street rap that you link up and racks up plays on your itunes. Iggy Azalea, though you’re kinda fine, why do you rap with blaccent! why! aren’t you from fucn New Zealand or some shit? If/when you blow up, I’ll blame Marc Ecko. Lastly, at this point, it is undeniable how much bad and great influence Lil’ B has had on rap music/image/slang/performance… that last line is not hyperbole nor sarcasm
hope yall fought those hyper-consumerist tendencies and instead of freezing ur ass off to get a few dollas off gadgets and toys you was buildin’ with family and friends.
Click the pic for the latest jawn from Black Star produced by Oh No off their upcoming mixtape. The link below takes you to the jawn they performed on Colbert last month:

Mac Miller - “Loitering” (Rostrum, 2011)
Speak-n-spell slap courtesy of Young L & ID Labs. Raps presented without comment.
mo rap music: I have nuthin’ against Mac Miller, personally. I find him to be a mediocre rapper (with content i don’t care for), that has an investment and audience due to deep socio-psychological shit that deserves no mo words.
this Young L/ID Labs beat is RETARDO
“A Detroit nigga on some Detroit shit!”
mo rap music… that Raw provided by Danny Brown
STALLEY - LARRY BIRD [MUSIC VIDEO] (by dd172newyork)
Ski’s crunchy-psych-rawk-rap fusion continues… Stalley goes in. onehundidNeleven seconds of goodness
New theme: RAPPERS WHO DESERVE MORE SHINE THAN THE SPACE MAFFEW RAGAZINO TAKES UP ON NAH RIGHT, PT.I
Uptown XO - Black America
Diamond District still one of the best albums of the past 6 years
BUNNIES - THE KNOWBODIES f/ Tequila Roze aka S.E.L.F.

“Power”/Main Attrakions & Infrantree (2011)
Great beat, the raps not so much.
DPNS any idea on what this is on?
Stalley - The Tune Up
More Rashad produced heat. This song leaked a few weeks before Stalley’s great Lincoln Way Nights dropped earlier this year. It’s better than half the album, but didn’t make the cut… Kanye shrug. The video aight, song great.
Hua Hsu on Watch The Throne
This is simply the best piece of writing about rap, society and contemporary culture I have read in who knows how long. It’s not surprising it comes from Hsu.
KRIT F/ YELAWOLF
Shit is nice. Their Country Couzins collab needs to drop if this is what they cooked up.
Much props to Yela for shouting out the Coup and British Knights in his verse.
And Krit’s chop of ______ was nice too. True Master used it on La The Darkman’s “Luchi”
GlockWerkOrange
So DPNS linked up their vid earlier today and I went to their Facebook (which I didn’t know they had) and found this track on their page. I lifted the blog name change from this song which was on their Bandcamp but than removed. Luckily it’s on their soundcloud.
I have no idea what one of the rappers is getting at but it’s that type of poetic gibberish that makes me smile: “destroyed Mike Jack after giving us Billie Jean, syphillis cream makes its way thru the in seems, demean the righteous, invest in pseudo psychics”
And DPNS they gave u some love on their Facebook for posting.
The KnowBodies - Gettin’ Free
